Free tools, sourced numbers, no funnel
Most sizing tools online are one of two things: a manufacturer wizard that funnels you toward one brand's equipment, or a thin page that stuffs affiliate links around a number with no explanation. SizeMyHome is neither. The tools are neutral, the math is visible, and the recommendation is a starting point, not a sales pitch.
We hold to a few rules. Every sizing figure traces to a named source (DOE, ENERGY STAR, NFPA, ACCA, or a manufacturer's own worksheet), shown on the methodology page. Where a figure has no clean source, we leave a visible gap rather than guess. And every result is framed as an estimate for planning, with a pointer to the licensed professional who does the real calculation.
